Event - Shakespeare Week

14 March 2014

The week beginning 17th March saw St John’s participating in Shakespeare Week.

Each of the classes looked at a different play and this resulted in some wonderful drama, descriptive writing, art and, with our younger children, a taste of what it would have been like to live in Tudor times.

Some of the highlights included Year 6 acting out and learning about the dramatic tension of Macbeth, Years 3 and 4 looking at the stormy scenes in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Year 1 playing Tudor games and learning about Tudor clothing.

All children were given a Shakespeare passport, which can be used at various venues in and around the Midlands.
